Salons and spas should compare AI receptionists on correct service selection, provider availability and the ability to finish a booking. Taking a message, sending a link and creating a confirmed appointment are different outcomes.
The prices below were checked October 22, 2026. The service and booking tests are our editorial recommendations.
Compare the plan that performs your booking
| Solution | Published offer | What to test for your salon |
|---|---|---|
| Rosie | $49/month, 250 minutes; direct calendar booking on $149 Scale | Whether the booking matches the service and provider |
| Goodcall | $79/month for 100 unique customers; then $0.79 each | Your required service and resource checks |
| Tuvoz for Small Business | Announced: $9.99/month plus usage | How your agent resolves a service or policy exception |
Ask every provider to demonstrate the same end state: an appointment accepted by the booking system with the correct service, duration and provider. Compare the price of that configuration.
A lower entry tier can be sufficient if you only want a message or a next step for the caller. It should not be treated as equivalent to the complete workflow when direct booking is essential.
What Tuvoz costs in a booking-call example
Imagine 100 calls averaging 2 minutes, or 200 connected minutes. At Tuvoz’s exact rate of $0.001666 per second, usage is about $19.99. Add the announced base and the total is about $29.98 before tax.
Usage is 10¢ a minute, billed per second, with a 30-second minimum per answered call leg, including calls to your own phone. This illustrative calculation excludes extra answered legs and extras. See pricing; Small Business access opens through the waitlist.
The small monthly base is attractive to evaluate when a few calls arrive while you are with clients. If conversations are long or repeat frequently, calculate those minutes too. Choose using your real workload and required features.
Evaluate service matching before voice style
Give each supplier a short menu with different appointment lengths. Ask a caller to use a vague service name, request a particular provider and then add a second service.
A useful test checks whether the system clarifies the service and preserves preferences without inventing availability. It should confirm only the appointment the booking system accepted.
Then test a cancellation-policy exception and a calendar failure. Look for a clear request to the right person and a summary that says what remains undecided.
Quality here means staff can honor what the caller was promised. These scenarios assess that behavior; they do not assert measured differences between the products.
Where Tuvoz’s agentic approach stands out
Tuvoz connects the voice agent to your existing AI agent. When the call needs help, the voice agent asks your agent. If your agent cannot answer, Tuvoz calls you.
That is useful to evaluate when a caller changes the service, asks for an exception, or wants a combination the basic schedule does not resolve. Your agent can use the menu, policies and tools you authorize, with a route to you when the decision needs your involvement.
This approach gives the phone conversation access to the working context you maintain with your agent. Check the actual booking-system connection and permission boundaries in your demonstration; a particular salon integration is not assumed.
Choose around your front-desk workflow
Shortlist Rosie for an included-minute package, using the tier that matches your booking requirement. Compare Goodcall when a distinct-customer model fits your calls. Evaluate Tuvoz when the low base and connection to your existing agent are the main reasons to change how calls work.
No published head-to-head voice or booking benchmark underlies this comparison. Your menu, resources and exception tests should decide the quality question.
