The right AI answering service for an HVAC business needs to handle changing demand without promising technician capacity you do not have. Compare seasonal costs, correct visit selection and the route for a dispatch exception.

Solution Entry offer HVAC evaluation question
Goodcall $79/month for 100 unique customers; then $0.79 each How does your busy-season caller count affect the bill?
Rosie $49/month, 250 minutes What is the price of your required booking configuration?
Tuvoz for Small Business Announced: $9.99/month plus usage Can your agent resolve equipment and scheduling exceptions?

Goodcall counts a repeat phone number once per month, rather than metering minutes. That makes your mix of repeat and first-time callers relevant to the comparison. Ask each provider to quote the exact plan and actions shown in your demonstration.

Model a peak month as well as a quiet one

An illustrative Tuvoz workload of 200 calls lasting 3 minutes each produces 600 connected minutes. At $0.001666 per second, usage is $59.98; adding the announced monthly base gives about $69.97, using unrounded amounts before the final rounding.

Usage is 10¢ a minute, billed per second, with a 30-second minimum per answered call leg, including calls to your own phone. This illustration excludes tax, extras and additional answered legs. Check pricing; the announced offer is accessed through the waitlist.

Tuvoz’s base is a reason to consider it for a smaller service business. Longer calls increase a usage-based bill, so repeat the calculation for equipment discussions and seasonal surges. A fixed allowance or caller-based package can be a better fit for a different pattern.

Quality test: does the appointment match the work?

A polished greeting does not tell you whether the right appointment was created. Ask every supplier to demonstrate these cases with the same rules:

  • A repair caller switches to asking for a replacement estimate
  • A maintenance appointment involves two systems instead of one
  • The address is covered, but the required technician is unavailable
  • The caller asks about warranty coverage that has not been verified
  • The dispatch calendar fails to respond during booking

Inspect the resulting record. Look for the original request, the selected visit type, who accepted any exception, and whether the caller heard “confirmed” or “pending” accurately.

These tests are especially useful when two demos sound equally natural. Compare completion and correction behavior before choosing on voice preference.

Why Tuvoz’s agentic design is relevant

Tuvoz connects the voice agent to your existing AI agent. When the conversation needs another answer, the voice agent asks your agent; when your agent cannot answer, Tuvoz calls you.

For HVAC, that can put a capacity exception in front of the agent you already use to organize the relevant information. You decide what context and tools it may use. A decision outside those instructions can reach you.

This is a workflow advantage to evaluate, not a claim that Tuvoz has every dispatch integration or makes better technical judgments than another provider. Require a live demonstration of the system and permissions you intend to use.

Pick for the season you actually operate

Shortlist Goodcall if a customer-based bill matches your caller pattern. Shortlist Rosie when evaluating an included-minute package. Put Tuvoz on the shortlist when a low monthly base and access to your existing agent matter to your team.

The quality decision still comes from your repair, maintenance and estimate tests. No comparative booking-accuracy or voice-quality benchmark is claimed here.
